Course Description

We dive deep into coffee from the start. This is absolutely not a beginner's course, but designed for the Home Barista who already has some experience and knowledge in the area of grinder adjustment and extraction.

What temperature does which coffee need, how much coffee to how much water and all of this in what extraction time? These are exactly the topics we will completely revisit and work through. Each participant will develop the perfect brewing recipe for various coffees.

Together we bring out the best in every coffee.

The sensory aspect of coffee also gets its due. We taste a wide variety of qualities to understand what high-quality coffee is. We also take a look at various processing methods such as semi-washed, anaerobic fermentation and honey. Both in theory and in practice.

Of course, the topic of Latte Art is also covered. We work on the perfect milk foam and try not just to pour hearts, but develop tulips and other patterns.

In this course too, you can bring your own machine. We would recommend this for this course so you can directly apply your new knowledge with your own equipment.

Important information: of course we will check the offset setting (temperature setting) of your Kaffeemacher with you in this course and adjust it if possible.

What prior knowledge do I need for Home Barista Level 2?

The course is aimed at the ambitious home barista who wants to get the best out of every coffee. Prior knowledge from a Home Barista course and an understanding of brewing recipes are mandatory.
