Every month a filter coffee that you won't find anywhere else from us. For the Adventure Filter subscription, we search for coffees that surprise us: with their taste, their variety, or their story.

Coffees that leave a lasting impression

Throughout the year, many coffees land on our cupping table, from sourcing and preparation for competitions. In the Adventure Filter Subscription, we introduce you to the sensory gems among them, which are often only available in minimal quantities. These include coffees from experimental producers and rare varieties: coffees that leave a lasting impression on us and that we only source for the subscription. Sometimes it's the origin, sometimes the story, the processing method, or the variety that makes a coffee an adventure.

David selects the coffee gems

David is part of our sourcing team. In 2024, he became vice champion in the German Brewers Cup, and in 2022 and 2023 he competed in the Swiss Championship. Today, he coaches the participants from our team. Through competitions, David has built connections with producers and importers whose coffees we feature in this subscription.

Once a month we brew the coffee together

Every last Wednesday of the month, from 6 to 7 p.m., we meet online for a livestream. We tell you where the coffee comes from and how it was processed, brew it, and taste it together. You bring your recipe, and we exchange ideas. If you can't join live, you can watch the recording later; it's available to all subscribers.

What to expect from the subscription

250 g whole beans, a different filter coffee each month
Shipped in the first two weeks of the month, as a letter directly to your mailbox
An email from David about each coffee, with photos and his recipe
The livestream on the last Wednesday of the month, 6 to 7 p.m., with recording
Duration of one month. After that, the subscription automatically renews and can be cancelled by you at any time.
€17.00 per month, plus €2.00 shipping as a letter within Germany. Shipping costs abroad will be shown at checkout.

Great Subscription Model

I thought long and hard about whether to subscribe to the Kaffeemacher subscription.
My questions were: Will I like the flavor profiles and the roasts?
Now after my second month, I can say with 100% certainty: a clear recommendation. If you love great coffees, this is the place for you!
I'm really excited when my coffee letter arrives and I get surprised. The YouTube meetup is also a great and educational idea.

Worth It!

I'm from Hamburg and I'm used to various micro and nano lots from local specialty coffee roasters. What particularly surprised me is the excellently developed roast profile. The flavor notes were hit very precisely. In a V60 with a Comandante Red Clix (Click 56) and a brew ratio of 1:16.66, you'll find pronounced sweetness and clarity in the cup.

The coffee tastes like an elaborate fermentation, which you typically only find in this region starting at €80 per kilo. I'm really looking forward to the next variety. The price-to-quality ratio is absolutely fair!

A Joy Every Month

The envelope in the mail brings anticipation every time, which has always been warranted so far. The only downside is that you can't re-order your favorite coffees, of course, but that's part of the concept of the Adventure Subscription.
