Product Details

You place the tamper with the contact plate on the rim of the basket and press the handle downward. The plate remains on the basket and keeps the tamper straight. Only the lower part beneath the plate moves downward, compacting the coffee. Two springs inside the tamper share the work: the first moves the contact plate, the second regulates the pressing force of the tamping unit to 8 to 10 kilos. With exactly this force, your coffee grounds are compacted, with every shot.

Why We Sell This Tamper

Our Felix Hohlmann is a two-time German Barista Champion, and he won his second title in February 2026. As the current champion, he will represent Germany in October at the World Championship in Panama. On stage, every shot counts, which is why Felix wanted a tamper he doesn't have to think about. We developed this one according to his specifications, together with our founder Benjamin Hohlmann and Michel Indelicato, whom you know from almost all our YouTube videos.

We started with our KM Tamper, which we and many of you have been using for years. We enhanced it with two features that most often go wrong when tamping: the contact plate helps against tilted angles, and the dual-spring system prevents fluctuating pressure.
